Change of Lifestyle

I have been scrambling my brain trying to figure out what I really want at this point in my life.

The answer came when an opportunity arose.

In my heart I visualized living by water so Jake could swim everyday and lose weight. I imagined living in a natural setting among beauty to seed my hungry soul.  A place where I might rekindle my main passion in life, photography.

With this new opportunity a clear path began to emerge that reflected everything my heart had been calling for. So I decided to take this new path and see where it leads.

Jake and I recently moved to a rural area near Chiang Mai. We have a Studio house that is just the perfect size for us.

If I am to be living in Thailand I want to experience the best she has to offer, not particulary interested in continuing to live a western lifestyle while there is so much more to living.

I accept that I will be facing different challenges everyday on this new path. But that is what makes life an adventure!

So far the first week:

Internet was unbearably slow. which lead to making the decision that if I were not able to get internet strong out here I would just give up the net for awhile. Freefall! On the 6th day my internet improved to where I have speed again. Yea!

2 King Cobras were killed one night

Power tends to fluctuate – strange, almost like a brown out. Computers stay on, but fan spins slow and microwave won’t work

Last night a Tookay peeked his head through a hole in my ceiling, one the owner has plans to repair. (I stuffed a sock in the hole to discourage Mr. Tookay from moving in with me.)

Water pump down, no water at the moment.

Small things but gives me a picture of what to expect and how to prepare for the unexpected.

So far I am loving it, and so is Jake.

A happy Jake
